This rotation emphasizes high-risk obstetric clinical care, patient contact, prenatal diagnosis and ultrasound.
Students participate in the evaluation, care and management of high-risk antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients. They see patients in the maternal-fetal medicine office, outpatient clinic and labor and delivery unit.
The maternal-fetal medicine resident and the maternal-fetal medicine faculty supervise the students. Night call in labor and delivery is optional.
