Transition to Practice Programs

Transition to practice is a broad term used to describe the education and professional development process nurses undergo when transitioning to a new nursing role. These programs help to ease the nurses' transition into a new specialty by equipping them with the knowledge, tools and resources to be successful.

Nursing education departments at BSWH facilities offer a range of formal and individualized development plans to help nurses in this process, including a variety of online educational resources.

If you would like additional information, contact your local nursing education department.
