Pediatric Orthopedics

We treat the unique problems and conditions related to a child’s growing bones.

Pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Baylor Scott & White Health includes the evaluation and treatment of congenital, developmental and musculoskeletal disease, including musculoskeletal trauma.

In addition to general pediatric orthopedics, there are subspecialty clinics in scoliosis and multispecialty clinics in cerebral palsy and spinal bifida. The multispecialty clinics are staffed by a multispecialty team from orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, urology and pediatric neurosurgery.

Orthopedic bone tumor surgery treats benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors of the extremities. Treatment options include evaluation with radiographs, including CT or MRI scans when necessary and interventional radiology or procedures to obtain biopsies or remove bone tumors.

Orthopedic hand surgery treats birth defects or injuries to the hand.
