Stroke Care

From prevention to life-saving treatment and rehabilitation, we offer comprehensive care for stroke.

At Baylor Scott & White Health, our approach to stroke care is a multidisciplinary method that connects neurologists, physical medicine & rehabilitation specialists, neurosurgeons and more – all through an electronic medical record (EMR) to effectively coordinate your patients' care.

The RAPID platform, an advanced neuroimaging software technology, allows us to treat stroke patients up to 24 hours after onset of symptoms with mechanical thrombectomy, a minimally invasive procedure used to clear a blood vessel clot in the brain causing stroke. RAPID processes and color codes these imaging studies, offering an easy-to-interpret, real-time view of blood flow throughout the brain and highlighting areas of brain tissue that can be saved.
