You have been successfully registered for the 2018 Baylor Scott & White Health - Central Texas Research Day.
The 6th Annual Research Day features research podium presentations of early investigators in the areas of basic/translational science, clinical effectiveness/delivery science, educational research, quality improvement research and case series reports. In addition, the event will highlight poster presentations of innovative research that is being conducted by investigators at Baylor Scott & White Health and keynote podium presentation in a current relevant healthcare topic.
Early investigators are encouraged to submit an abstract to present a research podium presentation or poster presentation. Ten abstracts will be selected for the research podium presentations (including two abstracts from each of the research areas highlighted). Poster presentations will include any research area.
Abstracts not selected for a research podium presentation will automatically be included in one of the poster sessions.
The event will include 10 presentations from early investigators highlighting their current research endeavors. Two investigators will be selected from each of the research areas highlighted.
No, only one abstract submission per person will be accepted. However, those not selected for a research podium presentation are automatically placed in a poster session to present a poster. If you do not want to present a podium presentation, you may select the poster presentation option on the submission page. Poster session assignment will be announced on March 5, 2018.
Yes, only one abstract will be allowed per primary author. There is no limit on the number of co-authorships (i.e., or appearing as a contributor). You are allowed to either participate in a podium presentation or poster display, not both.

Research podium presentations will consist of an approximate 12-minute PowerPoint presentation and a 5-minute Q&A. If selected to give a presentation, specific details will be provided (i.e. presentation format, expected order of presenters, available audio, etc.) Research podium presentation selections will be made on March 5, 2018.
Abstracts will be selected for a research podium presentation by a selection committee of volunteer faculty researchers.
