About

Ms. Phan is the Manager of Epidemiology & Effectiveness for the Epidemiology Department at Baylor Scott & White Health. She holds certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Healthcare, received her Master of Science in Healthcare Management and a second Master of Science in Information Technology and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ms. Phan completed the Epidemiology Department’s research internship, and currently serves as a data coordinator on several of Dr. Filardo’s studies - examples include a 4-year NHLBI multicenter R01 (1R01HL103683) investigating the effectiveness of prophylaxis and management of new-onset post-CABG Atrial Fibrillation in over 32,000 patients, a 2-year industry-funded population-based study investigating ranolazine’s potential to prevent short- and long-term re-hospitalizations after cardiac catheterization/percutaneous coronary intervention, and a large 3-year AHRQ population-based R01 (R01HS018576) studying the effectiveness of open versus endovascular surgery for the management of abdominal aortic aneurysms in over 6,000 patients. She is skilled in data registries development and management as well as data acquisition and data quality monitoring/evaluation.
