Objectives

This conference is designed to address critical issues related to decision making for and treatment of stroke patients. Diagnosis and management of headaches will also be addressed. This conference will feature experts from neurology, radiology, neurosurgery, stroke neurology, and interventional neuroradiology.

As a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:
  • Compare data on anticoagulation in the elderly vs risk of stroke if anticoagulation not used
  • Evaluate the data concerning factors related to cerebral aneurysm outcomes
  • Identify the risk of stroke in patients with a comorbidity of migraine headaches
  • Recognize the differences between symptomatic and asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis
