Designed to address critical issues related to decision making for and treatment of stroke patients and enhance dialogue on the current controversies in the treatment of stroke.

Each topic will be covered in the context of case presentations and panel discussions that will allow for audience interaction with faculty. The day includes breakout sessions to allow participants to select the most applicable content for their individual practice.

As a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify major advances in key areas of cutting-edge research and technology in acute thromboembolic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, sleep disorders, vascular dementia, stroke rehabilitation, cerebral edema and epilepsy
  • Transition emerging clinical science to clinical practice in patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke as well as epilepsy
  • Evaluate and implement new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for treating patients with stroke, sleep disorders and epilepsy
  • Recognize emerging trends in the distribution of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke as well as epilepsy and the impact on public health
  • Evaluate the impact of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies on health costs and clinical outcomes in patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and epilepsy
  • Understand the adaptation and testing of fundamental scientific discoveries to the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke as well as epilepsy patients

We request that all conference attendees pre-register to assure the availability of all conference materials. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after April 20, 2017. Refunds (minus $25 administration fee) will be provided to registrants who cancel their registration in writing up to April 20, 2017.

The conference organizers will not be responsible for reimbursement of airline fees and other accommodation expenses. Walk-in registrations are accepted, but we cannot guarantee seating or conference materials the day of the conference.
