Objectives

This one-day conference is specially designed for family medicine and internal medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses to improve knowledge of patient care.

As a result of attending this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement new knowledge of core topics in cancer care and its sub-specialties.
  • Utilize strategies to better diagnose, treat, and prevent conditions for improved patient outcomes.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to uncommon manifestations of common problems.
  • Identify cancer related issues and improve collaboration with specialists sharing patient care.
  • Improve practice patterns to become more in line with current research evidence and treatment guidelines in the most common cancer diagnosis.
  • Manage the evaluation process for cancer related patient issues traditionally treated by specialists.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We request that all conference attendees pre-register to assure the availability of all conference materials. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after March 22, 2019.
Refunds (minus $25 administration fee) will be provided to registrants who cancel their registration in writing up to March 22, 2019.

The conference organizers will not be responsible for reimbursement of airline fees and other accommodation expenses. Walk-in registrations are accepted, but we cannot guarantee seating or conference materials the day of the conference.

The conference is held at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center on the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas campus.
